February came and went so very quickly! We started talking about our country, Canada, which tied in nicely to the Olympics. We had lots to cheer about! Valentine's Day was so exciting with 40 little cards to open and read. We enjoyed a skating afternoon where many parents and grandparents were able to join us. We had two instructors attend a gym class to teach us about one of Canada's national sports, lacrosse! We had relays and learned about scooping and cradling. Celebrating 100 day was fun where we did everything about 100 and even had a parade through the school with our projects. We acknowledged anti-bullying day by wearing pink or red. Grade 7 students read us stories and we discussed ways to stamp up to bullies. We were part of "read around the planet" where Mrs. Gorman helped us connect with classrooms in the United States. We liked singing songs to them and had lots of questions to ask and answer!
