November brought two "firsts" for us! We got to go on our very first school bus trip to the Sagebrush Theatre. We watched the Blue Berries, a musical group from Vancouver. The Blue Berries were a lot of fun and we got to dance and sing along with them. We practiced our audience manners and expected bus behavior. We also had the first snow fall cover our Juniper Ridge hill. Sliding on the hill is awesome! We look forward to having more snow soon. We had two students that welcomed siblings into their homes. Avery has a new baby brother and Deacon has a baby sister! We are all very happy for them. We have been learning all about Canadian birds and animals and what they do to get ready for winter. Ask us about the terms migration and hibernation. We did some interesting art projects, read many wonderful books, sang songs and sorted out beanie bag animals and birds that represent Canadian wildlife. In math we are learning about more than, less than and equal to. We are working on recognizing numerals to 20 and counting backwards and forwards. We have been learning more letters and sounds. Some of us are beginning to use letter sounds when we do our writing. We have some new magnetic blocks that we have been enjoying at choice time and our art table has become a very busy place to be as we love to create!
